Why We Can Only Offer DHL Shipping to the U.S.
We have recently received questions about why EMS is not available and why DHL shipping to the U.S. is so expensive.
Following changes to U.S. customs regulations in 2025, Japan Post no longer accepts commercial EMS shipments to the U.S. under its regular shipping procedures.
While Japan Post has resumed accepting certain shipments to the U.S., commercial shipments now require special procedures, including advance payment of duties.
Therefore, EMS is not available for orders from PetWORKs Store Global, and DHL is currently our only shipping option to the U.S.
DHL shipping is more expensive than EMS, and rising fuel costs and fuel surcharges have also contributed to higher shipping costs.
